you + me x 4

June 5, 2014

It's crazy to think it's been a year since I wrote this post. Even crazier to think that two months later, life would take a months-long turn for the worst. And beyond crazy to think that after all of that, somehow many of the unattained dreams mentioned in that post are no longer unattainable.

But our God does exceedingly above anything we could ever ask or think. And whether I got the job, whether we had to continue to wait on a house, God has continued to grant my heart's greatest desire - our still-awsome, still-happy, yes we love each other but more importantly we still like each other marriage.

Here's to another year with my favorite person - life is better with you.

In celebration, I'm adding an addendum to our series of wedding posts - some memorable songs from our playlist!

Our Entrance: I got love for you - Michael Franti

Skip to about 1:20ish to the chorus - a happy, upbeat way to come in! We also insisted this song by Franti be played during the reception. And, his music keeps getting better. If they'd been around at the time, I'd have also included this song of his and this one. The man loves love!

First Dance: You & Me - Dave Matthews

Karla and I have this in common - and for good reason!

Parent dance: Sweet Child o' Mine - Guns N' Roses

Daddy's girl I am not - Cinderella, Butterfly Kisses, and the like are not reflective of us at all. In fact, they make me want to gag. So, we kept it fun and certainly unique with this.

  4. Happy Anniversary! I love your song choices. Not a fan of Butterfly Kisses either, ew! We danced to Nat King Cole's Unforgettable. My parents played that CD every Friday night so it just seemed to fit :)
